Overview
SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant – 2 vacancies (Year 3 & Year 4). Start: September 2026. Full‑Time.
Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support that enables pupils to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Supporting children with needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker or in a similar role.
- A patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Experiences can be gained through graduate studies in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or related subjects with relevant experience working with children.

- Daily pay between £90 and £120, depending on PAYE or Umbrella payment preference.
- Full‑time work, Monday to Friday during term time.
