We are seeking an ambitious, innovative and passionate Head of Business to lead our thriving Business department and drive outstanding outcomes for students across Key Stages 4 and 5. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher of Business Studies who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career, or for an established middle leader looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic and supportive secondary school community.

About the Role

  • Lead and develop the Business curriculum across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to secure outstanding outcomes.
  • Support and develop colleagues within the department through coaching and professional development.
  • Promote enterprise, entrepreneurship and employability skills throughout the school.
  • Build links with local businesses, employers and higher education providers to enrich students' learning experiences.
  • Contribute to the wider leadership and strategic development of the school.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has a strong track record of successful Business Studies teaching.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and curriculum leadership.
  • Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
  • Possesses strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Is committed to raising aspirations and ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
