- Holds QTS, with ECTs encouraged to apply
- Dedicated, professional, and passionately demonstrates classroom talent
- Holds a relevant teaching qualification and is an outstanding classroom practitioner
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Has a deep passion for languages and the ability to instil this enthusiasm in students
- Is committed to professional development and can effectively manage the department to maintain high standards
- Has experience in curriculum design, assessment, and departmental leadership
- Has the energy to build on recent GCSE/A-level results and drive forward high-quality post-16 language provision
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning in MFL
- Develop and deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that inspires and challenges students
- Support and mentor MFL teachers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive school-wide strategies for academic success
- Ensure the department achieves high academic outcomes and contributes to the overall success of the school
- Oversee the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to languages, such as clubs, cultural events, and language trips
