Are you a creative and passionate Computing Teacher with a love for coding, game design, and engaging young learners through technology? A forward-thinking alternative provision in West London is seeking a dedicated Computing Teacher to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expanding setting supporting learners across Key Stage 4 and Post-16, including vocational and alternative pathways.
This role is flexible, offering between 2.5 days to full time, making it suitable for both part-time and full-time applicants.
The Role
- Deliver engaging Computing lessons with a focus on coding and game creation
- Support students across KS4 and Post-16 pathways
- Help learners develop digital skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
- Deliver vocational-style learning linked to real-world outcomes
- Adapt lessons to meet a range of learning, behavioural, and emotional needs
- Support students working towards qualifications and accreditations
- Work closely with pastoral staff to support engagement and progress
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience teaching Computing at secondary level
- Has strong knowledge of coding (e.g. Python, Scratch, JavaScript, or similar)
- Has experience or interest in game creation / game design
- Holds QTS or QTLS (preferred)
- Can engage learners who may have SEMH or additional learning needs
- Has strong behaviour management skills
- Is creative, adaptable, and passionate about digital learning
- Enjoys working in an alternative, vocational learning environment
