SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) We are looking for a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support children with additional needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who are non-verbal and be passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.
You will be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Essential
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Experience working with non-verbal children.
A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to adapt learning and support to meet individual needs.
Desirable
Knowledge and experience of Makaton.
Experience using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
Understanding of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) strategies and other communication approaches.
Experience supporting children with autism and complex communication needs.
