The Role

As an SEN Art Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated art lessons tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
  • Use innovative approaches to promote self-expression, skill development, and emotional well-being.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including SEN support staff, therapists, and other educators.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every student feels valued.
  • Monitor progress, set individualised goals, and communicate effectively with parents/carers about achievements and next steps.

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Have experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly in a creative context.

  • Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
