We’re hiring an exceptional Motion Designer to join our team behind top podcasts: The Diary of a CEO (10M+), Lewis Howes (4M+), Ali Abdaal (5M+). You’ll be bringing our podcast visuals to life – titles, lower thirds, branded motion templates, intro sequences, and more. This is not about flashy animation for the sake of it. It’s about elegance, clarity, and story-first design.
Here’s the vibe: Think editorial‑inspired, slick, premium motion. Clean typography, subtle transitions, and layouts that add layers to the story.
You’ll be building on assets like these: Our graphic designers hand you layered PSDs and Illustrator files. You turn them into motion systems we can use again and again.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Animating podcast intros, titles, and transitions
- Creating lower‑thirds, logo reveals, name IDs
- Developing reusable After Effects templates
- Collaborating closely with editors and designers
- Matching visual language across series and platforms
- Bringing subtle movement to editorial layouts and static assets
You Should Have:
- Strong eye for type, layout, and pacing
- Excellent command of After Effects (templates, expressions a plus)
- Experience working with podcast, YouTube, or doc‑style content
- Ability to take layered design files and animate them cleanly
- Understanding of subtle, design‑forward animation styles
Bonus Points:
- Experience designing/animating in Vox, NYT, or Netflix‑like styles
- Experience building reusable motion systems (MOGRTs)
- Sound design or audio‑reactive animation knowledge
- Interest in AI tools
We’d love to see: 1–3 motion design samples (YouTube/podcast/brand intros preferred). Optional: a short video introduction (this always gets bumped to the top of the list).
Let’s make motion that feels as good as it looks.
