The predicted salary is between 12.75 - 12.75 £ per hour.

As a dedicated support worker you will be working with one of our clients in a small residential children’s home in the Telford area. The home has six ensuite rooms for young people with multiple disabilities and complex needs, two spacious living rooms, a dining room, a sensory room and a garden. The home provides settled care, short breaks and outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Work along with the team of Support Workers to carry out personal care
  • Provide domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning while encouraging the young people to assist or prepare meals with your guidance and support
  • Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for the children and young people to grow
  • Community access when required

Qualifications

  • At least 12 months experience working with adults or young people in a residential Support Worker role
  • Previous experience with challenging behaviour and/or intervention training is an advantage
  • Enhanced DBS covering Children and Young People – ideally with the Update Service, or be prepared to apply for a new one
  • Passion to deliver great care and motivate young people to thrive in their personal lives and education
  • Good spoken English

Working Hours

12‑hour shifts – days or waking nights (8‑8 shift patterns). You choose the days and shifts you wish to work, and these can be changed weekly to give you a great work/life balance.
