Overview

This is a hands-on role, based in Toomebridge and is ideal for an experienced operations professional who thrives in a manufacturing precast environment and is passionate about improving performance, efficiency, and consistency within our factories.

The Role

The Operations & Process Improvement Officer will oversee day-to-day operational activities while leading structured process improvement initiatives across the business. The successful candidate will be trained to progressively assume full operational responsibility, working closely with site, design, and management teams.

This is not an office-based role and requires a full-time presence in our factories with active involvement in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily site operations to ensure effective delivery of projects and services
  • Review, analyse, and document existing operational processes
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  • Design and implement standardised processes, procedures, and workflows
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies)
  • Improve operational KPIs, reporting accuracy, and data visibility
  • Drive automation, digitalisation, and system improvements
  • Monitor operational performance, budgets, costs, and resource utilisation

Criteria

  • Proven experience in operations management and process improvement within a precast factory
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and operational workflows
  • Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements and driving change
  • Strong analytical capability with experience defining KPIs and tracking performance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Dynamics ERP system
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Operations, Engineering, or a related field
