Creagh Concrete is seeking a motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join our technical team at the Newbridge facility in Scotland. You will design bespoke, structural, and architectural precast concrete components from initial concept to completion. This role offers structured mentorship from senior engineers to help you build a specialised career in modern methods of construction (MMC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Structural Design: Perform load, stress, and stability calculations for structural precast systems.
  • Technical Modelling: Generate detailed 2D and 3D engineering designs using AutoCAD.
  • System Design: Develop components for flooring packages, hollowcore, stairs, and fast-track walls.
  • Code Compliance: Validate that all structural parameters comply strictly with British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Team Collaboration: Cross-communicate with sales, factory production, and onsite installation crews.
  • Progressive Collapse: Review and calculate continuity requirements to prevent progressive collapse.
  • Project Support: Produce data logs, technical specifications, and general arrangement drawings.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Drafting Software: Essential competency in using AutoCAD software.
  • Advanced Software: Advantageous knowledge of Revit, BIM, Tedds, or Robot Structural Analysis.
  • Communication: Strong technical writing and customer-focused interpersonal skills.
  • Materials: Basic understanding of concrete properties and reinforcement mechanics.
