We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our production team in a busy concrete manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery and equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency, minimise downtime, and support the safe production of quality concrete products.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Perform inspections and checks on machinery and facilities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Work closely with production teams to identify and implement improvements.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Criteria
- Time-served Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, quarrying, construction, or concrete production environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
