CRC is a growing civil and environmental engineering business, and we are looking to recruit an experienced, highly competent Plant Mechanic to take full responsibility of the servicing, maintenance and repair of our plant and LCV fleet. This is a key role within the company, offering significant responsibility, autonomy and excellent earning potential for the right professional.

Responsibilities

  • Taking a planned, organised approach to fleet maintenance
  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy plant, vans and pickups
  • Carrying out preventative work
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
  • Independently sourcing parts, liaising with suppliers and maintaining a stock of spare/service parts at our workshop
  • Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records using spreadsheets and digital systems
  • Advising management on upcoming maintenance, repairs and improvements
  • Educating and supporting plant operators on best-practice daily maintenance and basic repairs
  • Promoting safe, efficient operation of all equipment

About You

  • Fully qualified and experienced Plant Mechanic (essential)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • IT literate, comfortable updating spreadsheets and using digital systems
  • Organised, methodical and able to work on your own initiative
  • Confident communicator, able to work constructively with operators, management and suppliers
  • Takes pride in high standards of workmanship and professionalism
  • Full UK driving licence essential
