My client has an opportunity for a TIG Welder with aluminium experience to join their growing team based in Daventry.
You will have experience working in a production environment, preferably in the automotive industry. They require someone with an excellent eye for detail and understanding of quality due to the extremely high standards set by their Automotive OE customers.
You must be able to work diligently with minimum supervision day to day.
- Work in accordance with legislative and company requirements for Health Safety and the Environment.
- Use TIG welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, to meet defined production schedules.
- Preparation and setup of tools and equipment in support of the welding activity.
- Preparation of parts for welding.
- Manufacture parts using jigs and fixtures and working to information contained within the works orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure correct operation and continuous improvement of both process and product.
- Support Works order and process tracking via shop floor data capture systems and the company wide ERP system.
- Operation of basic tube manipulation and fabrication equipment (once training complete) as required.
- Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy reporting issues via the Quality Assurance team.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Production Manager and Team Leader.
- Work on the development of new components as required.
