About the Role: As a Case Maker, your primary responsibility is to support our clients' distribution activities through building bespoke cases/containers for transportation of goods. You will work closely with our client, supply partners and wider team and may be required to support the wider operations as required. The site is a distribution centre, receiving, storing and shipping goods and is a main hub location for the UK. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operation of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Work as part of the team to build cases as per the client specification.
  • Manage stock levels and advise if running low as required.
  • Ensure output meets client demands in a timely manner, ensuring a suitable quality of build.
  • Inspect work and support team members as required.
  • Properly dispose of waste materials and generally keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Ensure work equipment and tools are routinely checked, stored safely and in good condition before use.
  • Liaise with client stakeholders to understand needs and receive direction.
  • Respond to work orders and management instructions, occasionally supporting the wider operation in Daventry as required.
  • Complete any reporting and close any jobs within the allocated time.
  • Ensure QHSE requirements are adhered to and proactively report any concerns or ideas for improvement.
  • Raise any identified opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Attend any meetings that are requested.
  • Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with company values.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience of safely working with hand tools and woodwork.
  • Able to understand technical instructions and drawings.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and processes.
  • Desirable to have experience working in facilities management, industrial environments, factories or a similar building services environment.
  • Communication skills to understand instruction and provide verbal and written feedback.
  • Organisational skills and ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Desire to positively impact team through effective work output and support for wider team.
