Our client is a niche and growing company based in Daventry. They are a manufacturer with a firm stance in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Due to team expansion they are now looking to acquire the services of a dependable and skilled Assembly Technician to work in their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with approachable and talented individuals whilst offering a foundation to advance your career. You will be responsible for a small team of Assembly Technicians and for ensuring the company’s products are manufactured to expected quality levels and timescales.
Main responsibilities:
- Carry out the manufacturing and assembly of the company’s products in accordance with production drawings and specifications.
- Working to set timescales and to the expected high quality standards.
- Identify and report defects or shortfalls in raw materials as well as components that are likely to cause delays in the production process.
- Responsible for maintenance of work areas and stock levels of consumable parts/tools.
- Identify and report opportunities to reduce production costs and timescales.
- Maintain accurate documentary evidence of works processes carried out in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Sound mechanical/electrical knowledge or time served in a practical role that could offer transferable skills.
- Ability to understand and work from schematic drawings.
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of basic assembly techniques including crimping, wiring, press fit jointing etc.
- Ability to use a range of hand tools (drilling, tapping, cutting etc).
- Competent user of IT and computer equipment.
- Willing to undertake professional development training as required.
