The role is responsible for the development and improvement of the formulations marketed by the Company and the provision of internal support to those departments responsible for the manufacturing and quality control of its products.

Responsibilities
- To formulate and improve new and existing products within the Company's product range.
- Preparation of written laboratory reports and comparative product evaluations.
- Preparation of samples and associated documentation for customer evaluation and approval.
- Evaluation and approval of new and alternative raw material and packaging specifications.
- Performance and reporting of pack stability trials, in line with Company specifications.
Formulation Maintenance and Technical Administration
- Computer entry of product Master Data to support the creation and maintenance of Bills of Material and article part numbers.
- Verification of technical content of product labels and Technical Data Sheets.
Operational Support
- To assist in the investigation of product and manufacturing non-conformities and quality incidents.
- Back-up in Quality support.
Qualifications
- Educated to Degree or Masters level in Chemistry.
- Preference will be given to graduate applicants and those holding relevant professional qualifications, although consideration will be given to applicants with relevant experience who display a willingness to quickly work towards achieving any identified qualification gaps.
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a similar technical environment, preferably within the aerosol or chemical industries.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable awareness of current chemical labelling and supply legislation (UK/EU REACH, CLP, etc.).
- Able to develop a strong understanding of the diverse product portfolio manufactured and marketed by the Company.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to liaise with a wide variety of diverse personalities and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with using ERP systems (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle or a cloud-based system) is desired.
- Experience and competence with use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint; and experience of using reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with both internal and external customers to deliver organisational goals.
- Excellent planning, organisational and task prioritisation skills, with the ability to self-prioritise own workload.
- Willing to accommodate occasional travel to European HQ in Belgium and other CRC locations.
