Make an Impact Across Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental Performance

CRC Industries is looking for a QHSE Manager to lead Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental activities at our Bridgwater manufacturing site.

This is a broad, hands-on role with real influence.

Working closely with the Plant Manager and operational teams, you'll be responsible for maintaining compliance, improving systems and processes, and helping to create a culture where safety, quality and continuous improvement are part of everyday decision-making.

We're a lean organisation, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being both strategic and operational; someone who can identify opportunities, solve problems and see actions through to completion.

Why Join CRC Industries?

  • This role offers exposure across the full QHSE spectrum, giving you the opportunity to:
  • Lead QHSE activities for an operational manufacturing site.
  • Drive meaningful improvements and influence how QHSE is embedded across the business.
  • Work closely with managers and operational teams.
  • Develop your expertise within a Lower Tier COMAH environment.
  • Enjoy the visibility, autonomy and variety that come with a broad site-based role.
  • Be part of a global organisation with a collaborative and supportive culture.
  • What Success Looks Like

In your first 12-18 months, success would include

  • Building strong relationships and credibility across the site.
  • Maintaining compliance with QHSE and COMAH requirements.
  • Driving actions arising from audits, inspections and incidents through to completion.
  • Strengthening and improving management systems so they remain practical and effective.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of the site's major hazard management arrangements.
  • Delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, environmental performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Becoming a visible, trusted and hands-on presence across the business.

What We're Looking For

You will bring a strong QHSE background gained in a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, FMCG, food production or another regulated environment.

Equally, you may have developed a strong technical or operational background and found a passion for safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who

  • Takes ownership and gets things done.
  • Understands what COMAH is and how it applies in a major hazard setting, even if you have not previously led COMAH compliance.
  • Balances strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Builds positive relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Enjoys working across multiple disciplines.
  • Is proactive, pragmatic and solutions focused.
  • Brings a continuous improvement mindset.
  • COMAH Experience

Previous experience of working at a COMAH site would be beneficial, but direct COMAH ownership is not a prerequisite.

As a Lower Tier COMAH site, major hazard management is an important aspect of our operation.

You should be able to demonstrate practical awareness of working safely within a regulated industrial setting and understand the purpose and significance of COMAH.

The successful candidate will be expected to build the site-specific knowledge needed to lead confidently within our Lower Tier COMAH environment.

Support and mentoring will be available to help the successful candidate build their COMAH expertise whilst leading and influencing QHSE performance across the site.
