Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Apply fertilizers
- Clean the crops
- Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market
- Greenhouse cleaning
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
- Sort fruits and vegetables
- Tie and secure plants
- Weeding
- Clean work area
- Fertilize and spray crops
- Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
- Examine product for quality and readiness for the market
- Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
- Report signs of insect or disease damage
- Pot and re-pot plants
- Plant bulbs and seeds
- Mix and prepare soils
- Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
