The National Account Manager will be instrumental in driving profitable sales growth and category leadership with our UK value and distributor channels. This is a pivotal role within our UK&I commercial team, offering the opportunity to shape strategic partnerships and bring the Crayola brand to even more families!
Working collaboratively across internal functions and external partners, you will shape and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that enhance Crayola’s market presence while ensuring operational efficiency and commercial excellence. In this role, you will own the full P&L for your account base, managing volume, net sales, and gross profit targets while identifying opportunities for sustainable growth. You’ll lead strategic forecasting and performance analysis, proactively mitigate risk, and ensure seamless execution across key customer touchpoints. By leveraging insights and developing influential customer relationships, you will translate data into decisions that unlock value for both Crayola and its retail partners.
As part of a high-performing commercial team, your ability to influence, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive forward Crayola’s brand ambitions in the value channel will be key to your success.
- Develop and implement strategic Sales plans: Shape and deliver customer-specific plans that contribute to Crayola’s strategic objectives, with the support of your line manager.
- Leverage data analytics to create mutually beneficial JBP with the support of your line manager.
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities: Analyse key account performance, customer satisfaction levels, and key commercial metrics to fuel growth and proactively mitigate any risks.
- Provide regular updates and commercial reporting to internal stakeholders, offering clear, strategic recommendations.
- Lead account-level planning: Champion cross-functional collaboration. Work closely with Category, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Marketing to ensure end-to-end excellence and a seamless customer journey.
- Contribute to the monthly forecasting process, ensuring sales insights align with supply planning to meet customer needs.
- Manage commercial terms and support negotiations: Ensure customers operate within agreed trading terms, and assist in reviewing and negotiating agreements to secure favourable terms for Crayola.
Support the wider UK&I commercial organisation: Proven experience in account management or commercial roles. A solid foundation in managing customers or key accounts, ideally within consumer goods or FMCG, with a demonstrable record of achieving financial KPIs.
Familiarity with the UK retail landscape: Experience working with UK retailers - value channel exposure is beneficial, though not essential.
Commercially curious and analytical: Skilled at interpreting data and using insight to inform decisions, highlight opportunities, and support planning.
