Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our UK Finance team. In this role you’ll take ownership of all accounts payable activities—ensuring accuracy, building trusted relationships with suppliers and supporting the smooth running of our finance operations.

You’ll play a key part in efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions, supplier invoices and employee expenses, while working collaboratively with team members across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice & Expense Management: Review, verify, and process supplier invoices and employee expenses.
• Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, supplier statements, warehouse inventory, and tax accounts.
• Payments: Ensure timely payments to suppliers while adhering to payment terms.
• Reporting & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records and prepare daily, monthly, and ad‑hoc reports.
• Month‑End & Audit Support: Assist with month‑end closing and annual statutory audits.
• Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work with finance colleagues to streamline operations and improve processes.
• General Finance Support: Provide assistance with other finance‑related tasks as required.

What We\’re Looking For

• Accounts Payable Experience: Experience in accounts payable or similar finance role (FMCG experience is a plus).
• SAP Experience: Proficient in SAP and other accounting software.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately with large volumes of data.
• Communication Skills: Confident in building relationships and solving problems with suppliers and colleagues.
• Adaptability: Self‑motivated and flexible, thriving in a dynamic and evolving environment.
