About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to join our finance team. This critical role is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting processes to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and local GAAP. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a commitment to accuracy, and a continuous improvement mindset to help drive the success of our organization. Key Responsibilities: Month-End & Year-End Closures : Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of daily transactions. Financial Reporting & Analysis : Prepare and post journal entries, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, perform variance analyses, and deliver other financial and statutory reports. Consolidated Financial Statements : Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with local GAAP. Participate in audits to ensure financial statements meet all regulatory and internal requirements. Policy & Control Guidance : Provide guidance to the finance team on corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and accounting best practices. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards. Tax & VAT Compliance : Prepare annual corporate tax computations and required analyses. Prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure the accurate and timely submission. System Implementation & Enhancements : Play a key role in system implementations and improvements, ensuring financial systems are efficient and aligned with evolving business needs. Continuous Process Improvement : Drive initiatives to streamline accounting processes, enhance accuracy, and incorporate evolving reporting requirements. Team Leadership & Development : Manage and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance. What we’re looking for : Proven experience in financial accounting and statutory financial reporting, with in-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting processes. Strong proficiency in SAP and other financial systems. Relevant accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent). Experience leading and mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. A proven track record of career progression, with increasing responsibility, accountability and ownership of tasks. Meticulous attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
