Crawley College, part of the Chichester College Group, is seeking an Instructor/Technician in Building Services. The salary is £26,238 – £26,334 per annum, plus £610.08 Crawley Weighting Allowance. This position is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Overview

The Instructor/Technician will support students and staff in the construction department by ensuring the safe use of equipment, preparing teaching resources, and maintaining an organised learning environment. This hands-on role focuses on equipping young talent with the skills needed to thrive in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-job instruction and mentoring to students in building services.
  • Ensure all equipment is used safely and kept in good condition.
  • Develop and deliver practical teaching resources and lesson plans.
  • Maintain a tidy, well-arranged learning environment.
  • Support staff and contribute to the overall teaching strategy of the department.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in building services or a related construction trade.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety requirements in a learning environment.
