Crawley College, part of the Chichester College Group, is seeking a passionate and experienced ESOL Associate Lecturer to join our team, delivering high-quality English language teaching to a diverse group of learners including both adults and 16-19-year-olds. This is a flexible role which allows you to accept work assignments when convenient to you.
As our Associate Lecturer in ESOL, you will play a vital role in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that enable learners from varied backgrounds and abilities to improve their English proficiency and achieve their personal, educational, and employment goals.
About The Role- Delivering ESOL courses across multiple levels, from pre-entry to Level 1, tailored to the needs of adult and young learners.
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on learner progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Supporting learners' personal development and integration into their communities and workplaces.
- Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Participating in department and college meetings, training, and quality assurance activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to clearly convey language concepts to diverse learners.
- A deep understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, alongside the ability to adapt teaching methods to different proficiency levels.
- Patience and cultural sensitivity are essential to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
