Overview

We are deploying fibre connectivity across the Manor Royal Business Park in Crawley, in partnership with another organisation. This high-profile project sits within the Council and is subject to high levels of scrutiny, so a strong understanding of project governance and confidence in dealing with very senior stakeholders is important. We are looking for a confident and experienced project manager to lead this innovative fibre (FTTP) delivery, including the civil engineering aspects, and to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and deliver the fibre (FTTP) project, including civil engineering elements.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders and senior leadership, providing clear governance and reporting.
  • Oversee procurement elements of the project; a strong understanding of public sector procurement processes would be advantageous.

Qualifications and experience

  • Proven project management experience with delivery of fibre/FTTP projects.
  • Experience with civil engineering aspects of fibre delivery.
  • Strong governance practices and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of public sector procurement processes is advantageous.

Contract and working arrangements

This is a fixed term contract for 18 months.

A full and current UK driving licence is not a requirement for the role, but it would be very useful for site visits.
