Responsibilities

  • Account management of an agreed selection of Lloyd's Managing Agents and brokers.
  • Establish and build new relationships where these are likely to be beneficial to Crawford.
  • Identify new business opportunities, sell appropriate solutions to potential clients and convert to profitable revenue.
  • Identify opportunities from within the existing client base and cross‐sell additional services.
  • Develop strong working relationships with relevant personnel within Crawford business units worldwide.
  • Liaise with Crawford class of business teams and regions and assist in promoting their services to the Lloyd's and London markets.
  • Work closely with the appropriate Crawford teams to ensure implementation of won new services meets and exceeds client expectations – systems, processes, MI etc.
  • Identify new potential contacts for Crawford employees visiting London and where appropriate attend meetings.
  • Assist Crawford employees visiting the Lloyd's and London Markets in organising meetings with their known contacts.
  • Respond to due diligence requests.
  • Create proposals and respond to RFIs.
  • Ensure that CRM is maintained in the prescribed manner for all managed accounts and new opportunities.
  • Participate in business development projects.

Qualifications

  • You will be based from our London office, although able to flexibly work from home.
  • Demonstrates a passion for the customer – puts the customer at the heart of activity and decision making.
  • Solution‐focused mind‐set.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritise workload.
  • Actively seeks and shares information – effectively uses specialist knowledge and experience to benefit the business and customer.
  • Responsive and flexible to working across global time zones.
  • Willingness to network and join market groups.
  • Degree or A levels.
  • Insurance qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of the Lloyds and London markets and the role of the various parties, desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of the claims function in insurance.
  • Understanding of US E&S market desirable but not essential.
  • Well‐developed and effective written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate complex issues and present both internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to understand client pain points.
  • Good attention to detail, planning and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to evolve with the business and with the requirements of the business.
  • Good problem‐solver and able to think outside the box.
  • IT literate.
