Support the Field Operations Manager and Area Managers for all operational matters relating to the Subsidence Field Teams, ensuring excellent service provision, cost control and overall management of people, training and development within the area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to employees, maximizing their potential to meet a variety of demands.
  • Deliver excellence against key measures of reduced duration, cost control and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a subsidence champion and technical referral point across the field.
  • Coach, inspire and develop technical excellence.
  • Assist managers in identifying and proactively addressing employee issues to ensure high levels of service delivery.
  • Spend the majority of time in the field with Subsidence Consultants, troubleshoot issues and remove blockages.
  • Keep technical skills and knowledge up to date, maintain a small caseload in busy times.
  • Collaborate with Subsidence Units, Supply Chain and other internal teams to improve the end‑to‑end claims process.
  • Assist managers in monitoring employee development and deliver appropriate learning programmes.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external parties to meet customer demands fully.
  • Engage with clients, brokers and key stakeholders to maintain business and attract new opportunities.
  • Promote company ethics and values, focusing on what matters to customers.

Qualifications

  • Role may be home or office based, encompassing subsidence field operations nationwide.
  • Requires regular UK travel and occasional overnight stays, with increased travel during peak demand.
  • Empowers employees by designing work with freedom and a facilitative management style.

  • Chartered Building Professional – MRICS/MCIOB/CEng or equivalent; Chartered Insurance Professional or commitment to achieve relevant insurance qualification.
  • Experience in team management, ideally managing remote workers.
  • Detailed knowledge of Building Construction, Insurance Principles and client requirements.
  • People management, budgetary management and resourcing planning in a dynamic environment.
  • Credible leadership skills to motivate the team and create a high‑performing culture.
  • Technical and problem‑solving skills to recognize difficulties and take proactive measures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex issues.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills for delivering on actions within budget and tight timescales.
  • Dispute resolution handling skills and strong financial literacy.
  • Computer literacy and effective use of ICT platforms and applications.
