Craven Services, part of the trusted Dyno-Rod / Dyno Plumbing network, is growing and looking for a qualified Drainage Engineer to join our team. We’re offering a permanent position with realistic earnings of £40,000+ through overtime, on-call and bonus schemes. You’ll get a fully kitted company van, fuel card, uniform, paid holidays, and real job security with a nationally recognised brand.
About the Role
This is a field-based position covering Blackpool and surrounding areas. Working Monday to Friday with an on-call rota, you’ll carry out a range of reactive drainage works in domestic properties. You’ll be the go-to person for urgent drainage issues, delivering fast, effective fixes and outstanding service.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Carrying out reactive drainage maintenance and repairs within a domestic environment
- Responding to blockages in sinks, toilets, baths, showers and external drains
- Clearing blockages using rodding, jetting and other specialist equipment
- Diagnosing drainage faults, identifying root causes, and recommending solutions
- Completing minor repairs such as replacing traps, waste pipe sections and fittings
- Conducting basic surveys/assessments and advising customers clearly and professionally
- Delivering excellent customer service in every home you visit
- Using your tablet to update job progress in real time
- Working safely and professionally in line with health & safety standards
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers, and enjoys solving problems under pressure.
- Proven drainage experience in a reactive/domestic environment
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on drainage work (blockage clearance, fault finding, repairs)
- Solid understanding of reactive drainage processes with strong diagnostic ability
- Confident using drainage equipment (e.g., jetter/rods) safely and effectively
- Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
