Bursary Finance Assistant - Term Time Only

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking to employ a committed and motivated Bursary Finance Assistant, who will be the main point of contact at Craven College for student bursaries. You will provide a professional and caring response to all students requiring financial support and guidance. You will assess students\’ eligibility for the bursary entitlement based on Government and Craven College policies. You will work closely with the Head of Student Experience & Inclusion and the Student Service Manager to remove any financial barriers for students accessing their education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering evidence of eligible financial documentation and for processing this accordingly.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualifications, GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
• High level of numeracy with attention to detail
• Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets
• Ability to relate to young people, with an interest in their future development
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and a pleasant telephone manner

Salary: Craven College Harmonised Pay Scale, points 4-8, £25,761.71 – £27,612.92 per annum, pro rata to £13,255.76 – £14,208.31 per annum (40 working weeks, paid for 45 weeks) Craven College is an aspirational College set in friendly and inclusive rural campuses in Skipton within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, at The Aviation Academy based airside at Leeds Bradford Airport and at Evolve in the heart of Ripon.
