Job Purpose

The Detail Specialist plays a dual role in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and assisting with parts inventory and logistics. This hybrid position ensures both a pristine vehicle presentation for customers and seamless parts coordination to support efficient shop operations.

Responsibilities

  • Detailing Responsibilities (approx. 50%)
    • Perform interior and exterior vehicle cleaning to prepare for customer delivery.
    • Conduct pre‑wash on vehicles before repairs or detailing.
    • Buff vehicles (preferred but not required).
    • Move vehicles within the facility to support workflow efficiency.
    • Maintain shop cleanliness and organization, including removing debris and trash.
    • Monitor and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Parts Support Responsibilities (approx. 50%)
    • Receive and match delivered parts to repair orders.
    • Inspect all incoming parts for quality and damage.
    • Return incorrect or damaged parts promptly to vendors.
    • Communicate regularly with vendors to track parts delivery status.
    • Ensure accurate parts invoicing and corrections within the estimating platform.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Automotive experience or interest preferred, but not required.
  • Must pass a background check and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
