Job Purpose
The Detail Specialist plays a dual role in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and assisting with parts inventory and logistics. This hybrid position ensures both a pristine vehicle presentation for customers and seamless parts coordination to support efficient shop operations.
Responsibilities
- Detailing Responsibilities (approx. 50%)
- Perform interior and exterior vehicle cleaning to prepare for customer delivery.
- Conduct pre‑wash on vehicles before repairs or detailing.
- Buff vehicles (preferred but not required).
- Move vehicles within the facility to support workflow efficiency.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization, including removing debris and trash.
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Receive and match delivered parts to repair orders.
- Inspect all incoming parts for quality and damage.
- Return incorrect or damaged parts promptly to vendors.
- Communicate regularly with vendors to track parts delivery status.
- Ensure accurate parts invoicing and corrections within the estimating platform.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Automotive experience or interest preferred, but not required.
- Must pass a background check and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
