We require a highly motivated Team Leader to manage the Boning Hall and any staff in your charge, ensuring that the targets defined by the Manager/Supervisor/Senior Team Leader are continually achieved. Duties may include:

  • Safe operation of all equipment and proper use and storage of PPE/equipment
  • Liaise with the Departmental Manager/Supervisor to identify the correct levels of staff required to fulfil customer demands ensuring that labour costs are kept to a minimum where possible.
  • Quality Control throughout the packing area and production line/s
  • Ensure planned outputs are achieved precisely, economically and to the predetermined quality standards.
  • Ensure that all mechanical equipment for weighing is working accurately and correctly.
  • Ensure that all information relating to yields and waste is completed in a timely manner
  • Conduct CCP checks relevant to the area being worked in and report any non-conformances through the proper processes.
  • Ensure you have input to closure of any CCP non-conformances raised and proactive prevention of repetition.
  • Ensure that Cockpit boards are completed daily, and that staff are given the opportunity to be taken through these
  • Ensure correct control of departmental waste and minimise where possible.
  • Ensure that lost production time is kept to a minimum.
  • Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations and maintain a high level of discipline.
  • Manage job rotation and ensure that all paperwork associated with job rotation is completed daily.
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of customer specifications.
  • Identify maintenance issues within the department and ensure that these issues are reported/addressed
  • Ensure GMP in the factory are maintained to a high standard at all times.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications/attributes:

  • Essential Criteria:
  • Must be able to speak, read and write a high level of English
  • At least 2 years previous experience in a Team Leader role
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication and team leading skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing
  • Multilingual
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Internal Auditing experience
  • A clear knowledge and understanding of the Company’s Quality, Hygiene and Health & Safety policies
