To lead and drive performance, identify and implement key improvements and ensure consistency of approach across the production area. To be the champion of operational standards and promote team development to achieving goals and KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Develop shift capabilities and improve shift performance.
- Ensure that all standards are adhered to and maintained.
- Embed an ethos of Continuous Improvement in your team using standardised business tools and techniques to achieve results.
- Be accountable for all shift outputs.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with key interfaces.
- Take full accountability for your area's performance in terms of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and Environment.
- Ensure all team members have a development plan and know what's next in their career path.
- Ensure the management and control of your area's KPIs are achieved.
- Ensure the management and control of the SIC process.
- Ensure that all non-conformances within the span of control are followed through to satisfactory completion and sign-off.
- Ensure agreed targets for safety, direct labour yield and CPMU are met and take corrective actions where necessary.
Role Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in factory shift management.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel.
- Good communication skills with the ability to relay information at a level relevant to the audience.
- Experience in change control.
- HACCP trained.
- IOSH Managing Safely or Cranswick equivalent.
- Experience of working in a lean manufacturing environment with understanding of relevant techniques.
