This is an exciting opportunity to start a comprehensive training programme which will result in you becoming skilled in the art of butchery.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Complete initial training, learning how to keep knife sharp.
- Work to the department targets and yields, cutting and butchering any part of the carcass to specification.
- All muscles on any primal, on any line, within the Butchery Hall to be cut correctly, seamed and trimmed to the required standard.
- All bones to be removed from any primal and to the required standard.
- Complete all tasks on the Cutting Line (including knife work).
- Competent in operating all saws on the Cutting Line, including the loin derinder.

- Beneficial work experience: butchery / food production / food manufacturing / chef.
- Time keeping and punctuality to support consistent attendance, with a commitment to meeting attendance and performance targets.
- Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure high standards of quality and safety are maintained.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of butchery work, including standing for extended periods and performing repetitive cuts.
- Commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the workplace.
- Suitable transport to get to site - HU12 8TB.
