Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. (Lazenby’s) is our fast-paced sausage facility located in Hull. Using only the best cuts of British pork, fresh herbs and spices, Cranswick are the UK’s leading producer of gourmet sausages and burgers, supplying major retailers and foodservice outlets alike.
We are looking for driven individuals to support the stores Area Leader to ensure the effective running of the store’s operation. Assisting and supervising the intake, storage, and distribution of dry goods. Working in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, food safety legislation and quality standards specified by our customers.
Responsibilities:- Supervising the control of all dry goods stock, staff, materials, and equipment including housekeeping within the area.
- Ensuring a safe, efficient, accurate storage and stock control operation is provided up to the point of distribution ensuring that we have a full traceable process of product and paperwork.
- Day to day supervision of the site-based stores team supporting the Area Lead in the operation of the area undertaking duties as directed.
- Be conversant with four strategic pillars (QVIP) and champion this within the department and the wider site.
- Continually evaluating best practices and ensuring that your shift uses those practices in the day-to-day operation.
- Effectively supervise and support the stores Area Lead in developing and training the despatch teams.
- Ensure only staff within the Area that are fully trained on the equipment and signed off are operating those items.
- Manage and investigate all stock variances.
- Communicate any stock shortages to the stores Area Lead.
- Always adhere to all Company rules and policies.
- Deputise for the area lead during holidays, sickness, or absence from site.
- Assist sister departments when needed.

- Good English and maths literacy
