The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated Factory Trainer to work on the night shift on a 4 on 4 off basis to provide assistance to the Training Team in ensuring the site training plan for the factory is achieved, along with facilitating a culture of continuous learning across the site, providing colleagues with the right tools for their personal development.

Hours: 4 on 4 off 18:00-06:00

The main duties of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • Deliver the Site Training Plan issued from the Training Co-ordinator/Shift Manager, prioritising key learning activities, ensuring we are audit ready at all times and compliant with all of our customers' requirements.
  • Manage the onsite 'buddy' system, ensuring all colleagues in key operational roles are correctly trained, supported and the paperwork is completed.
  • Complete assessments for colleagues, providing feedback to the manager and recommending the next steps i.e. promotion, pay rise or retraining etc.
  • Meet regularly with the training department to address any training gaps.
  • Support with both the Traineeship, Apprenticeship and Kickstart Schemes on the shop floor.
  • Support with Employee Survey roll outs.
  • Support with communicating the delivery of the site's strategy.
  • Coach Line Leaders / Technicians against the site's key competencies we are setting out.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have prior experience as a trainer who can respond to the needs of the site and deliver training within our factory environment (is advantageous).
  • Be able to coach and support new colleagues at all levels.
  • Have basic IT skills.
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Have a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Evident confidence in communication with peer groups.
