Cranswick Country Foods, Staithes Road, Preston, Hull, HU12 8TB. Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2.6 billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

We are looking for a Despatch Administrator to join our Despatch department – the purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient and effective running of any administrative work associated with the Despatch department, under the guidance of the Despatch Senior Supervisor. Due to the area of work, it is important that the successful candidate can work in an environment with a significant level of noise and activity in their work area.

Main Duties (but not limited to):

  • Production of accurate and appropriate despatch notes
  • Check all loading/transport information prior to use to ensure that all details are correct
  • Update and maintain the booking purchases and returns spreadsheet
  • Cross checking weight sheets to ensure all details are correct
  • Any other duties as required by the Despatch Admin Supervisor
  • Update supermarket pick sheets to ensure correct pallets are provided to outside haulers
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out
  • Highlight areas of improvement

You Will Have:

  • Experience in administration
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment / FMCG
  • Good level of IT skills – Microsoft Office
  • Good problem solving and decision making
  • Strong level of attention to detail
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
