Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over Β£2.6 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Executive to join our Trading team at our Preston pork site. The successful candidate will provide sales support and assist with the day-to-day running of the Trading office. You should enjoy working with a wide variety of people and be able to operate professionally and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts within fresh pork
  • Develop new sales opportunities within the UK and Europe
  • Visit customers / suppliers to increase value/quality/relationships
  • Complete all order processing accurately and in accordance with the required timescales
  • Support the Trading Manager with new and existing opportunities
  • Investigate discrepancies and produce relevant reports when requested
  • Update all relevant records and files to ensure the smooth running of the sale function
  • Provide cover for members of the sales and planning team as and when required
  • Deliver on KPIs as set out by the Trading Manager

You Will Have:

  • Sales/Commercial experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Attention to detail & strong communication skills
  • Confidence working towards targets
  • Strong level of IT skills: MS Excel, Word
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Display understanding of GDPR and business sensitive information
