Cranswick plc, a FTSE 250 food producer, is looking for an IT Engineer (Infrastructure Project Support) to join our Group IT team in Brough, East Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands‑on experience in enterprise infrastructure while supporting major technology change across the business. Working within our Transformation & Change team, you’ll help deliver upgrades, deployments, and onboarding activities across our UK sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior engineers with the delivery of infrastructure change projects across the group’s sites, including:
- Assisting with planned changes across Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, and security platforms
- Supporting onboarding activities for newly acquired businesses, including infrastructure alignment and tenant integration
- Helping deliver upgrades to on‑premise infrastructure (servers, networks, wireless, etc.)
- Installing, configuring, and provisioning new hardware (servers, switches, wireless, UPS devices)
- Supporting decommissioning of legacy hardware in line with lifecycle and security standards
- Assisting with Microsoft 365 tasks, including Entra ID, Intune, and device provisioning
- Producing clear documentation and handover notes to transition changes into BAU support
- Travelling to sites to support deployments and project activities
This role provides structured development and real‑world exposure to enterprise infrastructure technologies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Early‑career or junior‑level experience in IT, ideally with exposure to:
- Basic networking understanding (routing, switching, wireless, firewalls)
- On‑premise infrastructure environments or virtualisation
- Following documented processes and implementing technical changes
- Producing simple technical notes or documentation
A strong willingness to learn, collaborate, and gain hands‑on project experience is essential.
Desirable but not required:
- Microsoft, networking, or infrastructure‑related certifications
- Interest in infrastructure transformation and standardisation
