About the role
We are on the hunt for an energetic HR Advisor to drive the People Department forward by implementing continued ‘Best Practice’ approaches and methods to ensure HR plays a pivotal role in the Company and provides a high level of support across all functions. You will play a key role in driving engagement, wellbeing and performance across the Cranswick Continental division, supporting the drive of Cranswick HR values on site by ensuring the site can attract, engage and progress its colleagues. This role is an onsite role working across our sites in Bury and Worsley in Greater Manchester.

Key Duties
- Lead the HR team to deliver a customer centric HR service to the site, supporting each team member’s professional development and performance.
- Be a partner for senior department managers; providing advice and guidance across all HR policies and procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, and engagement.
- Lead ER casework and ensure that legal compliance is adhered to in all cases, including Disciplinary & Grievance, Performance Management, Absence Management, Redundancies, and Organisation Design, while maintaining confidentiality in line with GDPR regulations.
- Ensure that all HR systems are fully maintained and updated by the HR team and that data generated from the department is accurate.
- Ensure GDPR principles and routines are always followed by the HR team, and improvements to processes are identified and implemented.
- Facilitate and cost employee engagement calendar activities to achieve maximum impact for all colleagues.
- Delivery of all audit processes and systems to ensure compliance on group and external audits.
- Manage the maintenance of HR folders and systems to be audit ready.
- Liaise with solicitors on employee relations matters.
- Support recruitment practices on site, ensuring interviews are conducted correctly and records of applicants/interviewees are logged for legal compliance, in line with GDPR guidelines.
- Manage and develop the HR Assistants.
- Ensure monthly HR reports and any ad hoc reports are produced correctly and as requested.
- Maintain and drive HR projects.
