The Graduate Category Marketing Executive plays a key role in supporting the growth of Cranswick's chilled food categories within Sainsbury's. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start a career in FMCG marketing, insights, and commercial strategy. Category Marketing focuses on understanding shopper behaviour, market trends, and category performance to help retailers grow sales and improve the shopping experience.
Working closely with commercial, brand, NPD and retailer teams, you'll use data and insights to support category growth plans, identify opportunities, and help deliver recommendations that drive sales and value.

What You'll Do
- Support category plans and identifying growth opportunities
- Analyse shopper, market and sales data to uncover insights
- Assist with customer reviews and category presentations
- Support new product launches and creating sell-in materials
- Use tools such as Kantar and Assosia to track category performance
- Monitor market trends, competitors and shopper behaviour
- Work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing and NPD teams
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and retail customers
What We're Looking For
- Education – Degree educated, ideally in Marketing, Business, Economics, Analytics or a related subject
- Analytical Skills – Comfortable interpreting data, identifying trends and translating findings into clear recommendations
- Technical Proficiency – Good Excel and spreadsheet skills with the ability to work with numerical data
- Communication – Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting information
- Commercial Interest – Curious about consumer behaviour, retail trends and what drives purchasing decisions
- Relationship Management – Able to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Attitude – Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn, with a positive, can-do approach
