4 on 4 off, 05:30-18:00 (1x A Shift, 1x B Shift) Cranswick Country Foods, Staithes Road, Preston, HU12 8TB. Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2.6 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high-profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector, and other UK and global customers. We are currently recruiting for x2 Production Schedulers to join the Production department at our Preston site (HU12 8TB). The successful candidate will support the Shift Manager by assisting in the day-to-day planning for the site production department, ensuring that sufficient stocks and materials are available to meet daily customer orders.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Scheduling of day to day production of retail lines, reacting to order and forecast changes in order to ensure 100% supply.
  • Liaise with wider planning team on availability of raw materials, ingredients and trays.
  • Investigate any stock discrepancies – both finished pack and raw material.
  • Assist the production managers with any ad hoc reports, investigations or planning as and when required.
  • Understand base line capacities and liaise with production management continuously monitoring performance against plans.
  • Monitor customer forecasts and orders as received.
  • Construct 7 forward-day plan, modifying a 24-hour plan to maximise efficiencies and ensure despatch slots are met.
  • Plan efficiently to help the production team deliver on key performance indicators.
  • Build plans with any food safety requirements in mind.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and practices.

  • Experience in a similar role – Production Scheduler, Materials Planner.
  • Previous experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment (preferably food related).
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Good communication skills to support effective collaboration between different departments.
  • Capable of working towards daily targets & deadlines.
