About the Role
Cranswick Milling operates from our Fridaythorpe Mill, producing and delivering pig feed to our own farms within our parent company Cranswick plc, a progressive FTSE250 Company. An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager. The role is based at the Fridaythorpe Mill overseeing the Engineering Department to lead the engineering team to minimize downtime, ensure compliance with legislation and quality standards while optimising plant performance. This is a hands on role due to the size of the team with a combination of office and shop floor working as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Health and safety of equipment and compliance to HSE legislation
- Day to day running of the Engineering Department including line management of the Engineers
- Own the site maintenance strategy to lead PPMs using the CMMS
- Maximise equipment uptime while trouble shooting mechanical and electrical failures
- Involvement in capital project scoping and execution
- Management of the on-call rota and phone support for the engineers as required
- Maintain spare parts and consumables stocks
- Support other mills and central engineering as required
