We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Our Preston pork site is currently undergoing significant expansion, with a brand new Cold Store due to open and further investment planned in the near future.
We are on the look out for butchery apprentices to become an integral part of our butchery team. Becoming a butchery apprentice will offer you the opportunity to learn the skills of a specialised pork butcher, all whilst earning a full-time wage significantly above the national minimum for an apprentice, and work towards obtaining a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Butchery through the fantastic Bishop Burton College.
You Will Learn:
- Knife skills and the craft of butchery
- Health and Safety / Food Safety knowledge
- Functional skills - English and Maths (if applicable)
You Will Receive:
- NVQ Level 2 Apprenticeship Diploma in Butchery through Bishop Burton College
- Support and training to enable your career progression throughout your apprenticeship and beyond
- A guaranteed job, depending on performance, upon successful completion of your 18-month apprenticeship
