Lead and support a team of Hygiene Operatives during the night shift.

Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and records are accurately maintained.

Carry out cleaning duties alongside the team, with approximately 50% of the role dedicated to cleaning and 50% to team support and supervision.

Monitor hygiene standards to ensure equipment and production areas are cleaned effectively and safely.

Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings with team members and support their development.

Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all team members understand and follow site procedures.

Complete Take 5 assessments, safety observations and relevant documentation.

Liaise with Production Team Leaders and Managers to ensure areas are released for cleaning according to schedule.

Support the Night Hygiene Manager in the absence of the Hygiene Supervisor.

  • Previous experience within a hygiene or food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to motivate, coach and develop team members.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and hygiene.
