Crown Farms forms part of the hugely successful Cranswick Plc. We are looking for a Trainee Hatchery Planner.
Responsibilities:
- Setting eggs to required numbers as needed for processing.
- Working out the number of eggs needed per shed leaving the required number of chicks after hatch.
- Managing/Loading transport for both Nestborn deliveries and hatching egg collections.
- Being able to run a small team of staff to meet their full potential.
- Working closely with the hatchery manager to achieve the best performance from the hatchery.
- Aiding daily operations when needed.
- Cover absence of assistant hatchery manager.
- Arrange movements from site to farm.
- Aiding with daily/weekly plan for eggs.
Skills Needed:
- Hatchery experience (preferred).
- Planning experience (preferred).
- GCSE (Maths and English).
- Driving licence.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible working ability.
Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:
- Group and site induction.
- All relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures are reviewed and to current methods.
- Hazards and near miss reporting training.
