Overview

Pay: From £37,216.20 per year

Job purpose: The Relief Farm Manager covers farm staff absence as required, including the wellbeing and performance of the livestock. Regular travel and visits to allocated farms across the Norfolk/Suffolk/Essex Agriculture Division within the Broiler Department will be necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all aspects of running the farms are met.
  • Maintaining safe working practices.
  • Ensuring welfare of livestock.
  • Maintain optimum environmental conditions and ensure bird welfare and biosecurity practices are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Ensuring that high standards of animal welfare, hygiene and husbandry practice are maintained.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working on poultry units.
  • Ability to carry out manual duties.
  • NVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar.
  • Valid UK driving license.
