Responsibilities
- Monitoring movement of staff and staff vehicles on and off the site
- Control and use of CCTV, including remote monitoring of other Cranswick sites and third‑party locations as required and installed in compliance with BRC and other audit requirements
- Control of access barriers
- Recording all vehicles accessing and egressing the site on applicable systems
- Control and use of vehicle weighbridge
- Registration and control of refrigerated deliveries, non‑refrigerated deliveries, and direction of visitors and contractors
- Conducting site patrols
- Operating 'Stop & Search' procedures and escorting staff from premises when requested by a manager
- Recording and reporting factory and vehicle refrigeration temperatures when requested
- Maintaining key control
- Assisting in the enforcement of Company Policy
- Accurate reporting of incidents
- Conduct animal welfare checking duties
- Implementing procedures in an emergency situation – e.g. distribution of Fire Pack
Qualifications
- Valid SIA licence (essential)
- Experience in a similar role
- Driving licence preferable due to site location and cover for the Riverside site
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Problem‑solving and decision–making skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT skills – monitoring emails, etc.
- Ability to work unsupervised and within specified parameters
