Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring equipment is maintained, serviced, fit for use and that sites are ready for intake on time, including reactive work on building fabric and equipment.
  • Experience on drinkers, water distribution, feeders, heaters, and ventilation systems desirable.
  • Travel around East Anglia to farms.
  • On call 5 in 1 weekends.
  • Communicate to Farm Managers.
  • Report all issues and completed jobs to your Line Manager.
  • Give priority to animal welfare, health, safety and environmental matters.
  • Be aware of Health and Safety Standards and requirements and ensure that all codes of practice are adhered to.

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Previous knowledge or experience.
  • A mechanical and engineering qualification with experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Hard working – Can do attitude.
  • Van provided, to carry out work on over 70 farms in the Norfolk and Suffolk area.
