An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager – Food Service & Ambient to join the team at the Wembley site.
Main duties include (but are not limited to):
- Develop, agree and implement the commercial strategy, agreed with the Senior Management Team.
- Category Management. Ensure efficient management of the product range utilizing all aspects of category management, including promotions and sales.
- Liaise with technical, purchasing, and production departments of the business that impact upon sales and influence these to deliver forecast requirements.
- Manage communication and relationships internally and externally to ensure all relevant parties are fully informed on applicable issues and effective decisions are made.
- Interact with relevant internal and external departments to ensure customer service level requirements are in the forefront and actively identifying methods of improvement.
- People management, manage and provide PDP, support and direction for direct reports.
- Develop and sustain a close working relationship with the Business' customers.
- Actively seek out commercial opportunities for new commercial propositions for the business from new and existing customers to achieve Business goals.
- Liaise with marketing and product development managers to understand product range and identify unique selling points, i.e. history of product, safety, quality. Using these points to sell the product/ranges.
- Understanding the wider group's competencies, specifically aligning and working with colleagues in sister sites.
Requirements, experience and person specification:
- Group and site induction.
- Level 2 compliance courses (Slips & Trips, Manual Handling, Risk & Responsibilities, Food Safety for Manufacturing).
- Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures.
- Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
- Category experience, leading a product range with leading partners.
- Exposure to budget management, sales strategies.
- Management of people experience.
- Competent in Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
- Understanding of operating systems i.e., NAV.
