Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Reporting to the Hygiene & Waste Supervisor, the Hygiene staff will be fully accountable for the cleanliness of the site (interior & exterior).
- To ensure each shed follows the site's colour coding system.
- General housekeeping duties.
- Compliance with current H&S legislation.
- Proactive approach to H&S.
- Support the management team in site safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance to all H&S and procedures and RA.
- Safe handling of chemicals on site.
- Safe storage of chemicals on site.
- To use chemicals and equipment as instructed.
- Ensure records are being completed accurately so that product is produced to safe, quality, and legal standards.
- To ensure the site is kept up to standard, interior and exterior of the site to be kept clear of debris.
- Proactive approach to environmental issues including spills.
- Support the management team in site environmental inspections.
- Ensure compliance to all environmental procedures and RA.
Requirements, experience and person specification:
- Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (advantageous).
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Awareness of customer standards.
- Ability to meet job requirements.
